 | Dr. Shakuntala Baliga
Dr. Shakuntala Baliga is currently a senior consultant at the Sagar Apollo Hospital, Bangalore, The Apollo Clinics and Gangothri Hospital in Bangalore. She is a graduate and a postgraduate from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.), New Delhi. She secured distinction and was awarded the First Prize in OB/GYN at the final professional examination in 1974 and was awarded the MD degree in May 1979. She completed three years of Senior Residency (Registrarship) at A.I.I.M.S. Thereafter, she joined Lady Hardinge Medical College (L.H.M.C.), New Delhi as faculty member. She was Professor from March 1993 till January 2004 when she took voluntary retirement from central government service and settled in her home state, Bangalore. Dr. Baliga has vast clinical experience in gynecological surgery, management of infertility, gynecological cancers etc. |
